Where we celebrate

Party planning and styling in Beverly Hills

What we do here

Celebrations in Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills parties happen at home more often than not. A backyard, a pool deck, or a dining room cleared for the evening. We look at what the house already gives you and build the design onto that.

The flats and the hillside are different jobs. A flat lot south of Sunset usually has a level lawn and a straight run from the kerb to the back gate, which makes the setup quick. Up in the hills the garden is often terraced and the only way in is through the house. Both are fine. They need different plans and different amounts of time.

That second part is the one people underestimate. A balloon installation and a dressed table take longer to build than most people expect. In a house with a narrow side return, the carrying is most of the job. We walk the route with you beforehand and put a real setup window in the timeline.

We are based in the San Fernando Valley, which puts Beverly Hills about twenty minutes over Coldwater or Benedict on a good morning. Close enough to come and see the space before we quote anything.

Occasions

What we love to celebrate

Kids’ birthdays and baby showers are the bulk of what we do. The same care goes into a dinner for twelve.

A soft baby-shower dessert table

Baby showers

Beverly Hills showers usually run at lunchtime, which is the kindest light of the day and the hardest heat if the garden has no cover. So we plan shade before we plan flowers. A grazing table under a pergola, and the dessert table somewhere it will not soften by two o’clock. Seating goes where people can hear each other, because a shower is mostly people talking.

A styled children’s birthday party

Kids’ birthdays

First birthdays are the party we are asked for most, and they are harder than they look. One brings four generations into a garden at the same time. We plan the space for that before we plan a single balloon. Somewhere soft for the babies, and somewhere the grandparents can sit in the shade and still see everything that is happening.

An intimate dinner-party tablescape

Intimate dinner parties

A dinner here is usually about the table and very little else. Twelve to twenty people, one long setting, and a room that has to look right under lamplight rather than sun. We design those for the hour they actually happen, which changes the palette more than people expect. Colours that sing at noon can go flat and grey by nine.

An elegant milestone celebration

Milestone celebrations

Fortieths, fiftieths, anniversaries and graduations. The guest list is adult, nobody needs a play area, and the budget goes further as a result. More of it lands on the table and the florals. These are also the ones most likely to want a bar, a proper seating plan and a photographer with somewhere good to stand.

How it works

How a Beverly Hills celebration comes together

  1. We come and look at the space

Before we quote a Beverly Hills party we want to see where it is happening. Where the sun sits at the hour of your event, and how a van gets close enough to unload. A site visit is part of The Bubbly Experience. On the lighter tiers we do the same work from photographs and a floor plan, and it works, it just takes a little longer to get right.

  2. Then the design

You get a mood board and a colour palette, then a plan for the table and the backdrop. Signage and stationery direction come with it, along with recommendations for décor and rentals. One revision is included at every tier. This is the part most people picture when they imagine hiring a stylist, and it moves fastest once we have stood in the garden.

  3. Then the day itself

On The Bubbly Experience we are there for setup, the celebration and the pack down, and Francie and Ruta run it themselves rather than sending someone. On The Pop Blueprint and The Spark Partnership the day belongs to you, and what you have from us is a plan detailed enough to hand to whoever is helping.

The details

What goes into a Beverly Hills party

A dinner for sixteen needs a table and a lighting plan. A first birthday in the same house needs a backdrop, a balloon garland and somewhere for twelve toddlers to sit down. Which of these you get depends on your package and on the party itself. We mix them rather than running one formula over every event.

All of that is our work. The things themselves are bought separately: décor, rentals, florals, balloons, catering, the cake, entertainment and printing. Those are billed to you directly by the people who supply them, and we never take a cut, so there is no markup hiding inside our number.

  • Backdrops
  • Welcome & event signage
  • Dessert table styling
  • Tablescapes

Timing

Booking a Beverly Hills date

Eight to ten weeks ahead is the sweet spot. That is enough room to design the party properly and to book the vendors you actually want before they fill up. Ask anyway if your date is sooner. We will tell you honestly whether we can do it justice.

Spring and early autumn go first. Beverly Hills gardens are usable nearly all year. The two awkward stretches are the hot end of summer and late December. One needs shade you have to hire. The other needs heating and light before it needs anything decorative.

Good questions

Planning in Beverly Hills

Do you charge travel to Beverly Hills?

No. We do not charge travel anywhere in Los Angeles County, and Beverly Hills is in it. Anything past the county line gets a travel quote, and you see that quote before you book.

Can you work at a hotel or a venue instead of a house?

Yes. On The Bubbly Experience we handle the vendor side either way, including the walkthrough and the delivery schedule. Venues have their own rules about load-in times and what can be fixed to a wall. Tell us where it is early and we design inside those rules.

How far ahead should we book?

Eight to ten weeks before your date. That leaves time to design properly and to get the vendors you want. If your date is sooner than that, ask anyway, and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it justice.

What does the package price actually cover?

Our planning, design, coordination and styling. Décor, rentals, florals, balloons, catering, the cake, entertainment and printing are bought separately and billed to you by the suppliers. We take no cut of those, so nothing is marked up inside our fee.

Will photographs of our celebration be posted anywhere?

Only if you tell us they can. We photograph our work, and nothing goes on the site, on Instagram or into The Bubbly Files until you have cleared it.

Do you do weddings in Beverly Hills?

Small ones. If the wedding is already planned and you need somebody to run the day, that is The Final Pop. It starts at $1,200 and begins four to six weeks out.
