Where we celebrate

Big yards in Hidden Hills, filled properly

What we do here

Celebrations in Hidden Hills

The lots out here are wide, and a single table on a wide lawn reads as empty however well it is dressed. So we build in zones rather than around one big centrepiece. A place to eat, and a separate place the children take over, with the walk between them planned so the party has a shape.

Hidden Hills is gated, and that shapes the schedule more than the design. Every vendor has to be on the list at the gate, and a florist who is not on it is a florist sitting outside your party. We collect those names weeks ahead and confirm them in writing, because it is the single most avoidable thing that goes wrong here.

The streets are private and there are no pavements or streetlights, which is lovely and worth planning around. Guests park differently, and deliveries need somewhere to stand that is not the middle of the road. An evening party wants more light along the walking routes than a city garden would.

Plenty of the properties are equestrian, and horses change a party in ways that are easy to forget. Balloons and horses do not mix well, and amplified music carries further than you expect on an open lot. We plan the layout with both in mind when there are animals on the property.

What we love to celebrate

Kids’ birthdays and graduation parties suit the space. Baby showers work here too, usually pulled in tighter than the lawn suggests.

A styled children’s birthday party

Kids’ birthdays

A big lawn is a gift for a children’s party and a trap if it is left open. Small children scatter across it and parents spend the afternoon walking. We pull the whole party into one area smaller than the space allows, with the food and the backdrop inside a single sightline. The rest of the lawn stays scenery.

An elegant milestone celebration

Milestone celebrations

Graduations and big birthdays are what these lots were made for. There is room for a bar, a seating area and a dance floor without any of them crowding the others. The design job is giving each one an edge so the lawn does not swallow it. Lighting after dark does more of that than anything else.

A soft baby-shower dessert table

Baby showers

Showers want intimacy, which is the opposite of what a wide lawn offers. So we build a room inside the garden. A long table, planting or hired screens to give it walls, and everything close enough that one conversation can cross the table. The open space stays behind it as a view.

An intimate dinner-party tablescape

Intimate dinner parties

Dinner on a big property is about choosing the right spot rather than the biggest one. Under a tree, beside a hedge, or on a terrace with the lawn falling away in front of it. We pick the setting first and design the table into it, and the result usually needs less styling than people expect.

We also style

  • Bridal showers
  • Engagement parties
  • Anniversary parties
  • Graduation parties
  • Gender reveals

How it works

How a Hidden Hills celebration comes together

  1. Access and the gate first

The first Hidden Hills conversation is about who is coming and when. Vendor names for the gate list, delivery windows, where trucks can stand, and whether anything has to be walked in the last stretch. We would rather spend an hour on this in week one than lose an hour on the morning of your party.

  2. Then the design and the zoning

Mood board and colour palette, tablescape, backdrop and balloon concepts, signage direction and rental recommendations, with one revision at every tier. On a large lot the floor plan comes with it, because deciding where each area sits is most of the design work out here.

  3. Then the day

On The Bubbly Experience, Francie and Ruta are onsite for setup, the party and the pack down of everything we installed. Vendor arrival and delivery management is part of that package, and on a gated property with one way in it is the part that keeps the afternoon calm.

The details

What goes into a Hidden Hills party

Balloon installations and backdrops, welcome and event signage, dessert table styling, tablescapes, floral styling, lounge and seating layouts, custom favours and rental coordination. Setup and breakdown come with the tiers that include the day. On a large lot the lounge and seating layout is the element doing the most work, because it is what turns lawn into rooms.

Those are our services. The party itself is bought separately and billed to you by the people who supply it: décor, rentals, florals, balloons, catering, the cake, entertainment and printing. We take no cut of any of it, so our fee is the whole of what we charge.

  • Backdrops
  • Welcome & event signage
  • Dessert table styling
  • Tablescapes
  • Floral styling

Timing

Booking a Hidden Hills date

Eight to ten weeks ahead, and more if your party needs a marquee, a dance floor or anything that arrives on a large truck. Those bookings go early and the access has to be agreed with them.

Spring and autumn are the best of it. The west Valley summer runs hot enough that an afternoon on an open lawn needs hired shade. There is rarely a mature tree exactly where the party wants to be. Evening parties from June to September are the comfortable answer, and they photograph beautifully.

Good questions

Planning in Hidden Hills

Is there a travel charge to Hidden Hills?

No. We do not charge travel anywhere in Los Angeles County, and Hidden Hills is one of the shorter drives from us.

Do you deal with the gate and the vendor list?

On The Bubbly Experience, yes. Vendor arrival and delivery management is part of the package, and the gate details go into the production timeline with everything else. On the lighter tiers we give you the list and the timings, and you pass them to the gate yourself.

How do you make a big lawn feel full?

By splitting it up. Two or three areas with a job each, and the walk between them planned, will fill a lawn that one long table cannot. Balloon work goes vertical for the same reason, because height reads across open space where width simply disappears into it.

We have horses on the property. Does that matter?

It matters for the layout. We keep balloons well away from them, plan where speakers point, and route the guests so nobody is walking through a working part of the property. Tell us at the first conversation and it is easy to design around.

Is there a minimum?

Yes. The Pop Blueprint at $500 is the smallest way to work with us, and that one is design only. You get the complete creative plan and bring it to life yourself.

How does the money work?

Thirty percent reserves your date, forty percent is due thirty days before, and the last thirty percent seven days before. Pay by Zelle or by card through the link on your invoice. The deposit reserves the date and is nonrefundable, though it can move once with sixty days notice.
