For the mom-to-be

Baby shower planning in Los Angeles

We plan and style baby showers across Los Angeles, from the first mood board to the last napkin on the table. We take on the design, the décor and the vendors, then set it all up, so the guest of honour gets to sit down and enjoy her own party.

Overview

A shower planned around the guest of honour

Most of the showers we plan are lunches. A long table or three, food that keeps coming, a dessert table and a backdrop everyone wants a photo in front of. Behind each one sit a dozen small decisions about shade, seating and who is bringing the cake.

The brief we hear most often has nothing to do with colour. People ask for an afternoon where nobody hands the mom-to-be a problem to solve.

Our Baby in Bloom shower in Reseda started with exactly that brief. We set every table before the first guest arrived, and every question that came up that afternoon came to us instead of to her. She sat down when it started and stayed sat down.

Everything on that list is our work. The things themselves, such as flowers, rentals, food and the cake, are bought separately and billed to you directly by the people who supply them. We never add a markup to any of it.

The process

Planning a shower with us, step by step

  1. A first conversation

Tell us the date, roughly how many guests and where you are hosting. A backyard and a restaurant’s private room need different plans, so the place comes first.

  2. The design

You get a mood board and a colour palette, a plan for the table and the backdrop, and direction for the signs and stationery. One round of changes is included. For Baby in Bloom that meant real flowers on every table, with the same blooms carried onto the cake.

  3. The plan

On our planning packages we build the checklist and the budget with you, recommend caterers, bakers and rentals we would book ourselves, and help you read their quotes. Then comes a floor plan and a timeline for the afternoon.

  4. The day

On The Bubbly Experience, Francie and Ruta are there for setup, the shower and the pack down. We meet the vendors, style every table and keep the afternoon on time. You arrive to a finished room.

Occasions

Showers and baby celebrations we plan

Backyard baby showers

The Valley favourite. Long tables on the lawn, shade planned before anything decorative, and seating close enough that everyone can hear the gifts being opened.

Large showers

We planned a bohemian shower for a hundred and twenty guests in a Reseda backyard, with three caterers and the same place setting laid at every seat. Scale changes the logistics far more than the look.

Welcome parties and sip & sees

For a baby who has already arrived. Camilo was ten weeks old at his welcome party in Granada Hills. His grandmother built the backdrop herself, and we brought the vision and styled the table.

“Bubbly SoCal helped me host my daughter’s baby shower and everything turned out so beautiful and unforgettable. Ruta and Francie helped with the planning, decor, setup, and all the little details that made the day feel so special…”

Working with us

Two Valley moms on your side

The two of us run every Bubbly Experience shower ourselves. We plan it with you, and we are the ones setting the tables on the morning.

We are honest about fit. Some hosts want to build the shower themselves and only need a design to aim at. Others want to hand over everything. We will tell you which package suits your shower, even when the answer is the smaller one.

Good questions

Frequently asked questions

How far ahead should I book a baby shower planner?

Eight to ten weeks before the shower is the sweet spot. That leaves time to design it properly and to book the caterer and baker you actually want. If your date is sooner, ask anyway, and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it justice.

Can you design the shower and let us do the rest?

Yes. That is The Pop Blueprint: a mood board, a colour palette, a plan for the table and the backdrop, and a final design guide you can build from. The shopping, the vendors and the setup stay with you.

Do you set up and clean up on the day?

On The Bubbly Experience and The Final Pop, yes. We set up the décor before guests arrive and pack down what we installed afterwards. The Pop Blueprint and The Spark Partnership are design and planning, so the setup on the day is yours.

Is there a travel charge in Los Angeles?

No. Travel is included anywhere in Los Angeles County. Beyond the county we quote travel before anything is booked.
